Patrick grew up in Pleasant Hill, Oregon and there has rarely been a year in the past twenty where he wasn't doing some sort of farm or food project. After nearly a decade working in viticulture and wine distribution, Patrick now works on a fruit and nut orchard and is also pursuing berry farming and cider-making along with teaching, writing, and community organizing. He is the Farm to School Procurement Hub Consultant for Lane County, eager to support small farmers and help children get better access to healthy, local food.

Education Regional Hub Coordinator
Sarah Wheeler is a garden educator and support services coordinator at School Garden Project of Lane County, acting as regional hub lead for education for the Oregon Farm to School and School Garden Network. Sarah has worked in school gardens and garden education world for the last 18 years, and one of her favorite things is sharing resources and tools to increase confidence in the outdoor classroom. Aside from gardening, Sarah enjoys mushroom hunting and exploring the beautiful places of the Pacific Northwest with her family.
